Welcome to Friends of Felines Rescue!
Friends of Felines Rescue has been dedicated to our mission since 2020. Founded in Rio Linda, California, we are a volunteer-driven 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to reducing cat overpopulation through rescue, Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), spay and neuter programs, adoption, and community education.
What began as a local effort has grown into a rescue that serves Rio Linda, Sacramento, Natomas, North Highlands, Antelope, Roseville, Auburn, and surrounding communities—helping cats wherever we're able to make a difference.
Every cat we help represents hope, compassion, and a second chance. Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, volunteers, and community partners, we've been able to save countless lives while working toward a future where every cat has the opportunity to live a healthy, safe life.
Together, we're saving lives—one feline at a time.

They Can't Ask for Help... So We Are.
Friends of Felines Rescue is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization—not a government-funded agency. Every cat we rescue, every medical treatment we provide, and every spay and neuter surgery we fund is made possible through the generosity of people like you.
We rely heavily on donations to continue our mission of reducing cat overpopulation and giving homeless cats a second chance at life.
So far in 2026, we have invested more than $60,000 in life-changing spay and neuter surgeries. These procedures prevent countless unwanted litters, reduce suffering, and create healthier communities for both cats and people.
But our work doesn't stop there. Every cat in our care also needs nutritious food, clean litter, vaccines, flea prevention, medical care, comfortable bedding, enrichment toys, and plenty of love while they wait for a forever home.
Every dollar you give goes directly toward helping the cats. Whether you're providing a meal, a bag of litter, a toy to comfort a frightened kitten, or funding lifesaving veterinary care, your generosity makes it possible for us to continue saving lives.
Together, we can save lives—one feline at a time.
Found Cats ?
Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) is the most humane and effective way to reduce community cat populations and improve the lives of outdoor cats.
If you need assistance with a community cat colony, submit a TNR request and our volunteers will do everything we can to help.
Please note: Due to extremely high demand and a limited number of available spay and neuter appointments, there may be a waiting list for assistance.
If you are able to contribute toward the cost of spaying or neutering the cats in your colony, please let us know when submitting your request. Your support allows us to help more cats and reduce wait times for everyone.
Together, we can create healthier colonies, prevent unwanted litters, and save more lives.
